Posture, Feet and the Jaw Joint
- All parts of the body are interconnected, and influence each other for good and for bad.
- Many times patients’ problems are not due to any injury or dysfunction of the involved parts, but occur because of a postural distortion that puts abnormal strain on their bodies.
- These postural strains come from a few extremely common causes.
- Most people have a typical slouchy, forward-leaning sitting posture that reverses the normal curves of the spine and places them under mechanical stress.
- Often, postural problems are compensations for structural breakdown of the feet. Foot problems are extremely common in our population.
- The nervous system is extremely sensitive to minute changes in the way the teeth come together in your mouth. Problems in many different areas of the body can come from subtle imbalances in the teeth and jaw joint.
